- CAMILLE BECKLES, ceramicist
“I think there's a clear through line between what I do, which is clay, and the materials that I wore, which were glass tiles. It felt heavy to be attired in art from another medium, but seriously, it felt really cool. I felt powerful. It's glamorous to be a part of the Artistic Tile universe.”
Camille Beckles, the creative force behind Camille at the Wheel, is a passionate artisan dedicated to crafting exquisite handmade, wheel-thrown ceramics. Every piece in the collection is a testament to Camille's hands-on approach, as she personally carves and textures each pot, ensuring that no two items are identical. With a keen eye for detail and a love for functional beauty, Camille seeks to bring joy and usefulness to her audience through her unique creations.

Emerald Elegance: Camille is adorned in a verdant blend of gloss glass mosaics. Billie Dark Green, a solid color sheet that can be used to extend the gradient on Billie Ombre Green mosaic, and Stripe Green, a sophisticated checkerboard pattern composed of rectangles cut made entirely in-house.

Bringing art to life is simple for me because I start with raw materials, a thread of an idea, and I get right into kind of the prototype immediately. And in 20 minutes, I have something I can hold.”

Art should evoke an emotion. There's a certain level of human error, but in this case, I think it's human error that ends up giving that personal characteristic and bringing joy into the space.

A look behind-the-scenes at the creation of the Bringing Art to Life campaign:

From the very beginning, Founder & Chair Nancy Epstein had a clear vision; a business that stood apart, setting new standards for quality and design. As the company evolved, Nancy sought to display tile and stone products in a fresh light that defied traditional advertising. Something that illustrated the company's ethos, "Bringing Art to Life." And thus, the campaign was born. The effect was immediate, profound and entirely aligned with Nancy’s vision.
