A hand-painted custom wallpaper in a rich peach sets the tone for the design of the space, with hints of ivory and a glimmer of gold. As Lindley shares, “When I brought the paper to Amira Duck, of Artistic Tile’s Dallas showroom, I knew she’d present something really good, but I had not anticipated that she’d suggest a marble new to me. Rosa Grecia felt like it was designed by Mother Nature just for my project.” The pale off-white ground, with elegant veins of peach, rose, and terra-cotta is an ideal counterpoint to the paper. To make the floor even more visually rich, Amira proposed a mosaic carpet inset, custom-cut through Artistic Tile’s Tailored To program. “Amira thought the Cane pattern, reminiscent of the classic woven cane found in Parisian bistro chairs, would intrigue me, and she was so right. The way Artistic Tile took care of this project, making sure it’d be ready to install on a very tight timeline was so special. I have learned as a designer the importance of working with those whose commitment to the success of my projects equals my own. Amira and Artistic Tile are precisely such a resource.” Lindley’s design is perfectly composed, with each detail elegantly riffing off each other.

Dallas-based Lindley Arthur – in her first foray into designing for a show house – took the opportunity to create a “jewel box” of a space for the powder room, offering a sense of effortless luxury. “In a powder room, I want wonderful materials on both walls and floors, a marvelous vanity, perhaps another perfect piece of furniture, and accessories to ‘set the jewel’ of the space, as diamond baguettes do for a multi-carat diamond ring.”

The premiere of a Kips Bay Show House is a singular occasion in the world of interior design. This year’s Palm Beach edition maintains the very high standard the Show House is celebrated for, presenting an impressive display of the best in design.
Artistic Tile collaborated with three talented designers in the Palm Beach house - Eneia White, Lindley Arthur, and Christopher Peacock, each of whom incorporated natural stone tile into their projects in distinctly unique ways.

Christopher chose Stingray, in the Smoke colorway, to complete his vision.
The limestone tile exquisitely evokes the pattern of the marine animal for which it is named, etched directly onto the stone. The Smoke colorway, with it varying shades of warm grey, harmonizes perfectly with the matte metal accents in the kitchen. Christopher adds, "It's subliminal - but I figured there are probably stingrays swimming not 200 yards from here, so it is a little nod to Palm Beach."

“I call this bedroom with en-suite bath ‘Modern Romance’ and in creating the spaces, I gave both of those words equal merit,” shares New York-based designer Eneia White. “So the romantic florals I use - on walls, floors, bedding, tile – are each distinctive and quite unexpected. In combination with each other, and especially when piqued with unexpected tweeds, ikats, and geometrics, the modernity asserts itself, beautifully.” The bedroom features a bed set into a cabana, painted in dreamy “brights meet white” colors inspired by Eneia’s favorite confection, Starbursts. The en-suite bathroom, filled with multi-hued florals and modern geometry, stands out in a house full of bravura moments.

“Artistic Tile is so important to me as a designer. Working with Mark McElligott at the Flagship is such a pleasure, and when I learned that Kips Bay would be a reality for me, I knew we’d need to partner!” Eneia immediately fell in love with Rosa, a very modern, dimensional rose blossom, sculpted of pristine white Volakas, with engraving as delicate as the natural veining in the whisper-pale taupe marble. The Geotzzo Squares Grey floor, which features irregular squares of marble set into grey terrazzo, enhances the theme of the space. “The off-beat geometry of that floor is the touch of the unexpected that the room was craving, and my choice of fixtures in a just-introduced shade of rose pink, against the grey and white floor, added to the ‘rose-on-rose’ juxtaposition of color and form, giving this space a unique energy!”

As a member of the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club of
NY Board of Directors, Christopher Peacock has had the pleasure of designing for the legendary show house for decades. His ingenuity in conceiving an outstanding kitchen design, signature to each show house, is on full display this year in Palm Beach. “The one thing I knew
I didn’t want to do was design a space that was cliché Palm Beach. The space itself was rather like a tall box, open at one end to the living room, but with only one functioning access point, and two functioning walls.
The palette I chose needed to happily co-exist with the living room, which features blue. I also knew I wanted matte surfaces. The brushed stainless appliances, the wallpaper, our signature bespoke wooden cabinetry, the paint on the coffered ceiling, and the tile, all help to achieve a unified design of revelatory subtlety. For decades, I have relied on Artistic Tile as a key collaborator, so when I knew we’d be doing this kitchen, I couldn’t wait to see what would work.”
